Trastevere Places to stay

We will be travelling to Rome on Oct 16 and want to stay in Trastevere for three nights. Two women travelling - have no trouble with walking or catching public transport - any recommendations for places to stay - would prefer with breakfast - have found a number online but wanted others input...
thanks

I stayed at Arco dei Tolomei (it is on Trip Advisor and in Rick's guide) and loved it. B & B with I think six rooms--ask for one with a terrace. The breakfast was delicious. It's convenient to everything, right near the Tiber island. When I return to Rome I will definitely stay there again.
Happy travels,
Cynthia

We have stayed at this hotel a couple of times. We first stayed here as participants in an organized Rick Steves tour of Southern Italy. It is a former convent. The rooms are compact but more than ample and clean with a good typical Italian breakfast. It is a great location as it is a 15 min. walk to the Vatican and a little less than that to the Jewish Quarter. It is a longer walk to the Coliseum and Forum but certainly doable as we did it. There are great restaurants nearby and is in your preferred location of Trastevere. It is not if, but when, we return, we will stay there again. It ticks all the needed boxes. I highly recommend it.

Casa San Giuseppe

Hope this helps. Enjoy.

Tina and Lin....
I agree with you, Lin....we have stayed at Casa San Giuseppe several times...they're wonderful...but our friends made reservations there for the third week in September and recently received an email saying that the hotel would be closing. Not sure when, and the RS guidebook updates say they are not closing...but sadly, it looks like they are. During one of our stays, they were booked solid for one night and arranged for us to stay at the Santa Maria...I see someone else suggested that hotel. They were wonderful, and we would absolutely stay there the next time we're in Rome. Hope this helps.
