My son and I will be in Rome for a couple of nights. Any recommendations in the Trastevere area on a budget?

You need to share your budget in euros per night, and what you're looking for as far as sleeping accommodations. Also helpful would be to know when you're going, as rates can vary throughout the year.
And it might help to know how old your son is. A five year old? A fifteen year old? A fifty year old?

We stayed last year in Trastevere at the Villa Della Fonte. Small but quaint rooms, great breakfast, and wonderful rooftop sitting area (make sure to go up the spiral staircase for the nicest seating with a glass of wine!). I believe they only have about 6 rooms, so book early. Staff were really friendly and accommodating. Great area to stay in within Rome...lot of good restaurants around the area, stores to buy wine, cheese, water, etc. Would definitely stay here again. Hope this helps! Have a great trip! - Dean
