Trapani(Sicily) to Erice

Hello friends, hope you are keeping well.
I have planned Palermo, Trapani etc. on second week of October. During my visit I am planning to visit Trapani from Palermo only to explore Erice for a whole day. But the problem is the cable car website https://www.funiviaerice.it says that the cable car service will remain close from Sep 30 to Nov 29. Which is my visitng time.

So can anyone suggest please without the cable cars how can I visit Erice from Trapani please ?

You can take an AST bus. There are about 7 a day and it takes about 40 minutes.

I was able to use the lift, so no personal experience, but in addition to the buses I'm sure you can get a taxi from Trapani up to Erice. Sicily isn't an expensive place, so I don't think the taxi would be horribly costly. Going back down to Trapani by taxi could be harder. I don't know whether taxis regularly hang out in Erice; perhaps they do.

Glad I saw your post about the cable car to Erice, we will be there as well. Regarding the bus line alternative, I just cannot get a route to show up between Trapani and Erice on AST. Maybe someone can tell me what I am missing? Thanks.

I couldn't find a map or printed schedule. Google Maps doesn't have the bus info. You'll have to ask locally for the bus stop locations.
The site is not encrypted - (http not https) so perhaps try a different browser with pop-ups and non-encrypted sites allowed. FYI there is a Sicilian transport expert (Vagabonda) that follows the Sicily TripAdvisor Forum.
