Hi. Travelling to sicily in june 2019 and we were hoping to spend 4 nights in Trapani as a base to do day trips to Erice , Marsala, Segesta, as part of our trip.
Can anyone suggest good accommodation in Trapani? We were hoping to stay in the historical centre. Thanks.

Trapani is a good base for exploring Erice (via funicular) and Segesta (via bus).
I recently stayed at Secret B&B and highly recommend it.
The owner, Lory, is very friendly and helpful. My room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast is delicious.

How about a spot right at the sea’s edge? I was thrilled by 2-night stay at Residence La Gancia April 2017 on RS Sicily tour. Fabulous location, clean, comfortable and terrific amenities. www.lagancia.com. Easy stroll to historic center, felt comfortable out and about after dark. Get to Maria Grammatico’s in Erice. Like all the food found throughout the island, her offerings are incredibly delicious.

I also stayed at and would recommend the Residence La Gancia
Piazza Mercato del Pesce Trapani. As was mentioned, it’s right on the shore and is in the centro storico. Very convenient for roaming the streets it Trapani.
