Transportion from Rome Airport to Hotel near Spanish Steps

For comparison purposes, I used airportshuttle.it, which picked us up at the door to our hotel, and it cost 31 euro for 2 people. They got us to the airport in about 45 minutes. There were others in the minivan who had been picked up before us, but we were the last to be picked up. Word of advice if you've never flown out of FCO before - allow more than the customary 2 hours. We arrived with 2 hrs. and 15 minutes, and had precious little time left over before boarding began. It was too close for comfort, in my opinion. FCO is a certifiable ZOO!

I think the question is more about the other direction. The fee is about right for a private car and driver. Currently the fixed taxi rate is 40E for up to four people and luggage. I would go with the taxi since you do not have to meet up with anyone. The Leonard Express would be 28E plus the taxi cost to your hotel.

45-55 is about right for a private car service. The fixed rate for a cab is 40 euros. A shuttle will cost less but it will make several stops along the way. Donna
