We prefer not to rent a car. Can we get a bus from just outside the city into town? If so, how do we get information and schedules. Are there taxis that go in and out of town? Can we call to have one pick us up? Are there Ubers in Siena?

If you provide the location, people will be glad to help you with bus schedules (if applicable!)—you can also usually find them online.
I always ask my hosts if I need this kind of service, as they may have a driver they use often.

The exact location dictates answers to all these questions - except no real Uber in Italy.
Hosts should have answers to all these questions better than most people.
