It depends on your level of fitness, how much you like to walk and what kind of a budget you're on. Google maps can show you the distances between those sites.

We walk almost everywhere. Bus can be very slow because of the traffic so generally walking is quicker. We always stay in the Termini and have walked to the Vatican but it was a long walk. On a couple of occasions we will take the bus to the further point and work out way back to the hotel at the end of day by walking. The old parts of Rome are compact.

From Roma Termini to Borghese, ride the 910 bus about six stops. From Roma Termini to Piazza Venezia, ride the 40 or 64 bus to the piazza. To get to the Vatican, ride the Metro to Ottaviano or Cipro stops - You can also ride the 40 bus to it's last stop, about 500 meters fron St. Peter's. You can also ride the 64 bus to the south side of St. Peter's Square, but you MUST be careful as the 64 bus is known as the "pickpocket bus." These links may help you on your bus riding and Vatican experience ***** http://tinyurl.com/rome-bus ****** http://tinyurl.com/rome-tickets ****** http://tinyurl.com/vatican-tips ***** To get to the meeting place, I'd probably just ride the metro to Ottaviano and walk from there.... The 492 bus - which you can catch all through town - stops almost in front of the restaurant where you are headed!
