Transportation from Venice airport to Padua for 14 day village tour

Usually directions with transportation suggestions are listed but can't find.

If you have gone on this trip or are going please let me know the best method of transportation from Marco Polo airport/Venice to first hotel in Padua, Italy. Assume train? Can you get this at the airport?
Thanks.

If you want to see old Venice,
The Alilaguna is the water transportation at the airport. Check the color-coded route, 15€. It takes you to the Santa Lucia train station in old Venice.
The vaporettos do not go to the airport.
You can take the #5 bus to Piazza Roma, then walk across the bridge ( with steps) to the Santa Lucia train station.

Or
The mainland train station is Mestre, which is accessible via bus or taxi. This is not a scenic journey.

Safe travels.

We took a bus from the Venice airport to the bus depot next to the Padua train station and then a tram which is across the street from the train station to the tour hotel, which was Albergo al Fagiano. It was not hard.

Here are our directions from May 2019:

Venice Marco Polo Airport to Padua Train Station By Bus
Buses to Padua depart hourly throughout the day and the trip takes about an hour. A ticket costs around €8.50 from the machines at the platform outside of the Arrivals hall, or €10 if purchased from the driver. From there follow the directions “Padua Train Station to the Albergo Fagiano” below.

Padua Train Station to the Albergo al Fagiano

By Taxi
A taxi from the train station to the hotel will cost around €10.

By Tram and Foot
Purchase a tram ticket for around €1.50 from the kiosk outside the train station. Find the stop across the street from the station and to the right (with your back to the station), at the bottom of an elevated street. Ride the tram 5 stops to "Santo". Exit the tram, and with your back to the canal, walk to the far side of the little piazza across the street. Turn right and head down Via Locatelli. The Albergo al Fagiano is ahead on the left at #45.

One year before the pandemic we arranged a taxi to Padua at one of taxi services inside the Marco Polo Airport. It wasn't cheap but it was fast and efficiently dropped us off at the hotel entrance. We learned that they didn't have that many requests and they decided upon a price to offer us. The driver was super professional and the vehicle was beautiful and comfortable. We were bleary eyed after a long trip DTW to AMS to VCE. We had quite a long boarding process at AMS due to the nature of getting a large special Olympics group on our plane. I would gladly pay for that driver again.
