We are flying into Venice in June and staying in Padua. I am looking for transportation to our hotel. A couple options I have found are Treviso Car Service and GoOpti. I am looking for recommendations.
Here is the info sent by Rick Steves when I participated in the Village Italy tour that begins in Padua:
Venice Marco Polo Airport to Padua Train Station
By Bus
This option is best if you are going to Padua directly from the airport. Buses to Padua depart hourly throughout the day and the trip takes about an hour. Tickets are €8.50 from the machines at the platform outside of the arrivals hall, or €10 if purchased from the driver. (Italians call Padua "Padova". You will see the name Padova used on all transportation signage.)
From the train station, you can take a taxi, or you may be able to take a tram or walk, depending how far the hotel is.
Have not used either of the car services you mentioned, but have done so in other locations. After a long flight, being tired, jet lagged, and on strange ground, there is nothing better than having a driver meet you in the terminal, escort you to the car and wisk you to your hotel. In the absence of any bad reviews, and if the price is reasonable, then I'd go for it.
I took the bus from the Venice airport to Padova. Very easy to buy the ticket and follow the signs to the bus stop. The bus was very comfortable and air conditioned. Once reaching Padova, I took a taxi (from the taxi stand) to my hotel.
