What is the best way to get from Rome to Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy?
Just roll back a few posts and you find your answer. This question is asked and answer all the time. What do you mean by best? The most economical and somewhat convenient is the train $6-10, three times an hour, 45 to 1 hr 15 ride, and about a mile walk to the port entrance. From there a free shuttle bus takes you to your ship.
Rita, you can take a train, taxi, bus or shuttle. Which way is best for you is up to you to decide. As Frank points out, the train is very inexpensive and the runs are frequent. It's a bit of a walk to the port entrance but it's not that bad.
Thank you. It seems that the train will be the way to go, especially since we are a family of 4 traveling.
This is our first trip to Rome! So any other info would be wonderful to have.
