Transportation from Rome to Pisa

We are arriving in Fiumicino from Athens and need to get to Pisa. We are a little older and would rather not go by train. Can someone recommend a transportation company for a car with driver to take us there? Thank you so much for your help!

Hi Charlie -
Hopefully someone will come along with a reference for you but do you understand that it's quite a long way from Fiumicino to Pisa so a private driver is going to be very expensive for that sort of distance?

Charlie,

As mentioned in the previous reply, a trip of that distance with a private driver is not only going to be expensive (hundreds of Euro) but will also take about four hours. I'm also "older" and find trains to be the easiest way to get around. If you can connect with one of the direct high speed trains, you could be in Florence in 90 minutes and about another hour to Pisa.

Of course, it doesn't cost anything to get an estimate. You could try - https://www.limoserviceinitaly.com/ .

Price a bit over 700 euro ( at current exchange rate ~$800)
No personal experience, but have seen positive comment by others here.

Did you look at booking a flight from Athens to Pisa? It most likely will stop in Rome, but be much cheaper than a taxi service
Picking random date in April, one way fare is under $200 per person

A car with driver from Rome to Pisa will cost you $600 at the very least. If that is your desire you might as well fly from Athens to Pisa for much less.
Aegean Airlines flies non stop from Athens to Pisa in summer. Otherwise Alitalia flies from Athens to Pisa (via Rome) year round.
I agree that unless you have very serious disabilities that severely limits your mobility, train travel would not be bad at all.

A very good idea, given the price and time it would take to go by road.
I'm also curious where else you'll be going in Italy?
