I am leaving for Italy tomorrow. One of the things we'd like to do is travel from Pompeii to Amalfi. I've read that you can take the local train to Sorrento, then take the Sita bus or ferry to the Amalfi Coast. Here's the problem. When I went to check the travel times for the ferry, it said "travel is suspended". The Sita bus apparently no longer handles the transportation any longer, either, and directs you to a different site. Now I'm lost. Does anyone know which bus to take to Amalfi Coast? As far as I know the SITA bus still runs down the Amalfi coast from Sorrento to Amalfi. If you are going farther south to Salerno, you change buses at Amalfi. I've never taken the ferry buty I don't think they run all year round.
