Transportation from Palermo Airport to Cefalu

Seeking advice. I am arriving to Palermo airport this Sunday. Am staying at Kalura Hotel at Via Cavallaro, 13, 90015 Cefalù PA, Italy. It is a little east of Cefalu. What is the best method of transportation to get there? Or should I just rent a car?

You can take a bus from the airport to the main Palermo train station, and then a train to Cefalu. Either Google how to get to your hotel from the Cefalu train station or ask your hotel for the best way. Maybe they can pick you up or you can take a cab. You'd have to compare this cost (bus+train+cab) to the cost of a car rental to decide what's best. Seems like a car rental is the most straightforward because you're not staying in the center of town, but you may face parking costs when driving into the town. Just curious, what's the upside of staying outside the city if you didn't have a rental car nailed down already? If you were staying in the center, then public transport would be a breeze.

I would not advise a car rental for this - unless you intend to drive around Sicilia after Cefalu. The car rental pickup point is right outside the airport terminal.

There is a shuttle bus (search for Prestia e Comande shuttle) that goes from the airport to several stops in Palermo, ending at the train station. I'm sure there are other busses, too but this was the one I used and it was quite easy. From the train station take a train to Cefalu.

Rent a car only if you will be driving after Cefalu to go elsewhere. A lot of Sicily is more convenient with a car, but for just going between Palermo and Cefalu a car is not needed and would be a hassle.
