transportation from Orvieto to Spello

I will be staying in Orvieto for a few days and then going to Assisi and Spello. Is there public transportation from Orvieto to Spello or should I go to Assisi and then Spello. After that I am going to Siena . Can I go from Assisi to Siena and is bus or train faster?

Beth: Not a lot of choice in the mornings, but you can leave Orvieto for Assisi via Trenitalia at either 8:30 or 12:30 according to current schedules. It takes a littel over two hours to get there. Spello is only a few minutes further on the same train. We loved Spello! Are you staying there? While Assisi is lovely, Spello is more charming. Very easy to take a bus or a train from Spello to Assisi for a day tour. Siena is a 4-5 hour train ride from Assisi or Spello. I would bet there's a bus alternative, but I haven't experience with it.
