I'm going on the 14-day Village Italy tour next spring. I see that there are several options to get to the airport: Train, Bus, and Taxi. It looks like with the train and bus, you have to change. The taxi is only an option if you can split the price with another tour member. What have others found to be the best way to get there? Thanks for all your help! Elizabeth
I took the train. A straight forward journey and the change was no problem. The tour manager helped get a taxi to the station and purchase of tickets and ensured I knew where to change and what train to get.
On our Village Italy tour, the tour guide collected everyone’s flight or onward travel information and then helped organize shared cars to the airport, as well as to the central part of Milan and the train station. Very cost effective and convenient . So I wouldn’t worry about it too much until actually on the tour.
I agree…do not worry about this! The guide will start on about Day 3 collecting info for onward destinations and will assist all in getting onward transport and batching tour members in taxis. This is the only RS tour I’ve been on where they did this although there may be other tours that end in an awkward transit spot. The guides are expert with this on this itinerary.
Thank you all for answering! I feel assured that all will be well now. ET
