I will be traveling next month between Nice and Cinque Terre. Is there bus or train transportation from either locatiion to Alba, Italy? I hope to attend the October white truffle festival! Thank you for your assistance!

Yes, there is. You will have to make a few connections and the last leg might be on a bus. For detailed timetables from Nice to Alba use the German Rail site. For detailed timetables and fares from the Cinque Terre town of your choice to Alba use the Trenitalia site.
