What are some options for getting from the Naples airport to a hotel on Via Capo? We will have luggage and don't want to lug it too far.

Are you talking about Via Capo in Sorrento? I found no Via Capo in Naples. If it's Via Capo in Sorrento, Sorrento is over 30 miles (over 50km) from the NAP airport. A taxi drive or private transfer with a shuttle taxi would take probably close to one hour and cost you at least 80-100 euro. A cheaper option is to take a Curreri bus (www.curreriviaggi.it) from the airport to the Sorrento station (10 euro per person). Then from the station in Sorrento to Via Capo it's about 1km, over 1/2 mile, (15-20 min walk). Depending on the size of your luggage you might either walk that distance and lug the suitcases along or take a very short taxi ride.

Greetings from a cool and very wet Sorrento! The walk to your hotel could take up to half an hour depending on which hotel you are staying at. The road starts to rise as you walk away from Sorrento town centre, so again depending on where you are staying, this could add time to the journey. There are 2 bus companies that go along via Capo ie the Sita bus to Massa Lubrense and the more regular EAV Linea A town bus (every 20 minutes) to the same. Catch the Sita bus from the station and the EAV bus from near Piazza Tasso. An official taxi from Sorrento railway station could cost, IME, about 20 - 25 euro or more depending on luggage, time of day, traffic conditions etc. Taxis in Sorrento are expensive. These days we always use a door to door private transfer, gets us in the holiday mood!

Here are some well regarded local firms to ask for a quote. There are others it is a competitive market. You shold be aiming for about 75 - 80 euro each way (for two sometimes three passengers) during the day.
