Transportation from Linate to Lake Como to Colmar

Can anyone offer suggestions on how to get to the below via bus or train?

1) Milan Linate Airport to Lake Como (Tremezzina - Loc. Tremezzo specifically)
2) Lake Como (Tremezzina - Loc. Tremezzo specifically) to Colmar, France

I'm not seeing any train times from Varenna in Lake Como area to Colmar, but I'm probably not looking for the right things or in the right places.

Thanks in advance!

There is no line that goes from Lake Como to Colmar. Your best bet is to probably take the train from Lake Como to Strasbourg and then train from Strasbourg to Colmar.

Emily, the place you should be looking is the DB (German Railways) website, as that contains train times for most railway companies in Europe, and Varenna to Colmar involves three different companies!: https://www.bahn.com/en/view/index.shtml
Plus, timetable for 2018 may not yet be available, but assume it will be similar to this year.

I looked up Varenna to Colmar for a date in November, and got this option:

Varenna-Esino dep 08:37, Monza arr 09:26
Monza dep 09:37, Arth-Goldau arr 12:09
Arth-Goldau dep 12:14, Basel SBB arr 13:55
Basel SBB dep 14:21, Colmar arr 15:05

Plus an earlier option at 06:23, and later options at 10:37, 12:37, 14:37 and 16:37.

@Nancy, Strasbourg is NORTH of Colmar, to get to Strasbourg you go via Colmar!

One way is to take the C10 bus to Menaggio Piazza Roma and change to the C12 bus to Lugano. You then need a city bus to the Lugano train station. There is a direct train to Basel every 2 hours at 42 past the odd hours starting at 7:42, until 17:42, then one more at 21:42. From Basel it is a 1 hour local train to Colmar.

Or you could take the C10 bus the other way to Como S. Giovanni station. There is a direct train to Basel at 11:03. At other times, you will need connecting trains to Lugano.
