Our daughter is getting married in the hills above Florence, and we are trying to find a way to get there from Firenze SM Novella that isn't too expensive. There is no public transport, and we have the name of a private car service but would welcome any advice. Taxi? Private car? Other options? We will also need to get back to the train station 3 days later.

Could you be more specific about the name of this venue and/or more exactly where "in the hills above Florence" it is? That would help as far as tracking down what others who've stayed there have done. But the owner or manager of the venue should be the first go-to as far as suggestions for transport and might even be able to make arrangements. Have you asked?
How is the bridal party arriving/departing?

There are lots of hills around Florence. As a matter of fact the area is nothing but hills.

I would think that the bride and groom would have a vested interest in providing this kind of info to their guests. Or did they recommend the private car service and you're wanting some other option instead? If so, why?
And it sounds as if you're going to stay at this location "in the hills" for 3 days, right? What do they recommend for transportation?
