Hi there - just curious what is the easiest mode of transportation to get from the airport to piazza navona?
We can highly recommend romashuttle.com. We've used them many times and the cost from FCO to downtown roma is 45€ for 1-3 people. They are punctual and most reliable.
Buon viaggio,
Cab is set rate 48 euros
No worries about late arrival fees, etc
We used Rome-limousine.com to get to our hotel near Piazza Navona. They were recommended by Romecabs.com which was fully booked. Both are excellent. A taxi is fine too.
We like inexpensive, local transit and always take the local train from FCO to the Trastevere station. From there we take the tram through Trastevere to the Lago Argentina stop. The whole trip takes about 1 hour and costs about 10€ each. We also like this routing because you feel like you’re staying your Roman adventure right away.
From the #8 tram stop near Largo Argentina (2nd stop after crossing the Tiber River), it's a 10-15 minute walk to Piazza Navona area.
Echoing ChristineH and Suki, both are airport directly to your lodging.
check Viator shuttle
If your coming from a long trip or your 1st time, definitely cab or arranged ride/ shuttle.
Saves on stress. Remember.... you're on vacation
The easiest is a private car service. As a rule they only cost a small bit more than a regular taxi. When you've had a long flight, are tired, suffering jet lag, and being on unfamiliar turf, nothing is better than having a private driver meet you inside the terminal and take you to the hotel. We've used Rome Cabs (not a cab company despite the name) numerous times and have always been pleased. Send an email detailing your needs and you should get a quote within twenty four hours. Just google them to get their web site.
