There seem to be three options to get to Tarquinia from the port: the Eusepi Transporti Bus, blue Cotral Bus or the train. On the trenitalia website for the time I want, it lists "Autobus". I've never seen this before. Does anyone know what the Autobus looks like and where we catch it? Can we buy a ticket on board?

"Autobus" is a highway bus. Since it's listed on the Trenitalia site, the service is provided by Trenitalia. The bus probably departs from outside the train station and I expect that you can buy tickets at that station.
