After waiting in lines in the sun for hours today to buy a ticket and get on the ferry from Como to Bellagio, I am already stressing about making the return trip on Tuesday. I did not buy round trip ferry tickets because I thought I might return by bus. Now I am finding it difficult to figure out either bus or ferry schedules and ticketing procedures for the return. Has some lovely soul done this before and can advise me?

Years ago my mom and I took the bus from Bellagio to Como one drizzly day for an unplanned day trip.
The bus travels along the mountain road and you get a bird's eye view of the beautiful lake- sit on the right when traveling to Como for best views. Not recommended for those who experience acrophobia.

You can choose English but the schedules (timetables) are in Italian.

- Scroll down to C130 (bus line)
- Click on: Orario Invernale (effective 9/12/25-6/8/26)
View bus schedule that reads: Como-Nesso- Bellagio | RITORNO (#3 from top)
Scroll all the way down to read what abbreviations above the times mean; for example FER5 = Feriali dal lunedì al venerdì ( weekdays from Monday to Friday) etc, etc.
Since our day trip was unplanned, I walked into a hotel and asked the hotel staff where to buy a bus ticket and was informed to buy it at a bar nearby.
However, the bus website explains that one can buy it on board (extra cost) or via the website, the app, etc.
