We are leaving out of the Fusina Cruise terminal in Venice. Looking for specific transportation suggestions for: getting to Venice (city), staying in Venice and then getting to cruise terminal.
Secondly, where to stay for 2 nights that would be close to our transportation options.

The No 16 vaporetto goes from Zattere to Fusina every hour at half past the hour according to the current schedule.
Anywhere around Accademia will be a short walk to the Zattere dock.
You could take the Alilaguna "B" boat to Zattere, but it is the next to the last stop on the line, so you will be on it for a while. My preference is always to take the No 5 bus from the airport to Piazzale Roma, then change to a vaporetto to a point closest to your hotel.

If you follow Sam’s advice (which you should), I highly recommend you stay at Pensione La Calcina, a very short (and I believe bridge-free) walk from the Zattere vaporetto stop.
We really enjoyed our stay there some years back. If they are fully booked, or the price is way to high, Pensione Seguso right next door enjoys the advantages of the same location.
