Transportation for itin-Venice/Greve/Cortona/CT/Florence

Staying 3 days each. Flying into Venice out of Florence. Rail to Florence! Then pick up car in Florence city or airport? Drive to Greve and Cortona and CT and drop car at La Spezia? And train bc to Florence? OR Should we pick up car at Florence airport to avoid downtown driving exit out of Florence? Should we drive to CT after Greve and Cortona or should we drop car bc in Florence, then rail to CT? I'm panicking about driving out of Florence city!

Picking up the rental at Florence airport will cost you more. If you rent with Europcar, they have an office on Via Forlanini, 2. Not far from the airport.
