Transportation around Lake Como from Bellagio

We will be in Bellagio on Lake Como June 6-12. Our apartment will be 2 km from Bellagio center and there is a bus stop on the bus line from Bellagio 300 meters from our place. Is there a bus schedule which we can depend on to get back-and forth? If not, how often do the buses run and if they aren’t running when we want to go to and from Bellagio, is walking the only option? Also, how easy is it to get to other towns such as Verrena? Thank you.

The town you are looking to go from Bellagio is spelled Varenna
To go there, once you reach Bellagio by bus, you take a ferry from Bellagio. They are frequent and take only minutes to get across to Varenna. They don’t run late at night, so try to be back for dinner at Bellagio. Buses don’t run late either, but there might be taxicabs and, in the worst case, 2km are not too bad to walk (about 30 min).

Because of the deep "leg" of the lake the only reasonable way to get to Varenna (note spelling) and most other locations are ferries. There is a midlake ferry the links Bellagio, Varenna and sometimes Mennagio in a triangle. Bellagio is a major ferry stop so there are many ferry docks and different lines that run through Bellagio.

As for the bus line I would try some of the usual travel tools - Google maps, Rome2Rio - and see if they specify which line or lines stop at your bus stop and then just search for the local bus schedule. Sundays tend to run reduced service but if it is a line that the locals depend on it there should be service everyday.
Note that the June schedule of ferries and buses may be different from the current schedules since the lake cities have definite seasons - so check the date the schedule is good through and check bak after that date changes for any June updates.

Have a great trip,
