I would never consider staying in the Dolomites region, especially lake Misurina area without a car. And even more I would never attempt to go from Lake Misurina to Garda without a car.. it’s only 3.5 hour drive, but without a car you’ll spend all day on buses and trains.
Check rental rates on www.autoeurope.com or www.kemwel.com (same corporate group but prices vary, so check both).
The closest rental car locations are in Bolzano or Verona
