We want to travel by speed rail from Venezia to Lake Como, Sheraton Lake Como Hotel. We will be traveling with our luggage and would like to travel in the best comfort on the rail train. Please advise also what stop to get off in Lake Como. Thank you

Go to https://www.trenitalia.com/en.html
Put in from Venezia S. Lucia and to Como S. Gioanni, then the date and approximate time you want to depart. You will then see a list of trains available and the price if you buy nonrefundable tickets if you buy now. You will most likely see a Freccia train to Milano Centrale, then change to a train to Como S. Giovanni. when you click on a selection, you will also see prices for various classes of service, like standard, business or executive. Take your pick.
At Como S. Giovanni, take a taxi to the Sheraton. Its about 2 miles from the station.
BTW, there is one direct train every day at 3:20 pm, taking 3 hours and 28 minutes, with 1st or 2nd class available.

For now, nobody has dreamt of connecting 2 secondary towns with less than 90,000 inhabitants each with a direct high speed line. If you can't get on the direct EuroCity, You'll have to take a medium speed train from Venezia S. Lucia (or from Venezia Mestre if you are staying on the mainland) to Milano. Then a train from Milano to Como S. Giovanni Station (or to Como Nord Lago if you are staying on the waterfront).
Trenitalia.com/en.htm will sell you a through ticket in a single purchase, with a protected transfer if the first train is late.
Italotreno.it/en will take you only to Milano Centrale.
