Transport to VCE for 0600 flight

I haven't seen anything very recent on this forum about this, and have a few questions:
1. What time does VCE open for check-in? Does check-in take a lot of time? (0600 flight on Friday morning in September)
2. Is private transfer a good option to get to VCE? What company do you recommend? Where does a private transfer car pick you up?
3. Is a taxi a good option? Again, where do the taxis pick you up?

I don't think we can change our flights. The airlines cancelled the return flights we were on, and to change to a later flight would end up costing us > $1600 (due to all sorts of reasons--it's a long story!)

Thanks in advance!

I stayed in Mestre and had my hotel arrange for a 4am taxi. That worked fine for me.

Spend your last night in one of the hotels next to the airport. There are several to choose from and while no one wants to spend their last "in Venice" at the airport it makes the most sense.

We have a 6:00 am flight out of Venice this June and decided to spend our last night at this hotel near the airport . It doesn’t cost too much more than a private water taxi which was our only option at that hour based on our accommodations. http://www.torreanticahotel.com/

If you stay at a hotel walking distance from Piazzale Roma, you can take a regular taxi (on wheels) to the airport and be there in 20 min. That way you can enjoy Venice on your last day.

Is private transfer a good option to get to VCE?

Coming from where..?

Where does the flight go? Schengen vs non-Schengen destination has a bearing on what you have to do, and how long it will take to get to the gate for your flight

I am wondering about private transfer from Venice (we are staying a short distance from Piazelle Roma).
Is Piazelle Roma the place where taxis or private transport pick you up?

Our return flight is from Venice to the United States.
Thanks.

If you are staying right by Piazzale Roma, you can ask your hotel the night before to order a taxi to pick you up early the next morning, like 3:30 am. They are used to doing this.

Our son and his family did this last September and it worked out fine. Their hotel was hotel Arlecchino. Another family member stayed at the nearby Hotel Olimpia and did the same thing, though not quite as early. And we have stayed at the AC hotel for the same purpose. There, the taxi can drive right to the hotel entrance.

There's a Marriott Courtyard five minutes from the Venice airport, but it's not walkable, you have a five minute taxi ride. Good luck!
