Transport in Siena, Italy

Hi, this is my first time going to Siena and will be putting up in Casa Cecchi. We are not driving and not to sure how we are going to our hotel from the train station. We will be taking the train from Florence to Siena. Any idea how we can go about? I'm a little nervous now as the date is drawing nearer and the property is not responding to my queries. Appreciate if you can help me in this.

About 20 minutes from the station by taxi. There will be taxis at the station.

Or you can take the bus from Florence and again, take a taxi to your hotel once you arrive.

Hello, your hotel appears top be about 3 km south from the city center. The train station is on the opposite side of Siena.
A taxi is probably your best option. Good luck.

I'm a little nervous now as the date is drawing nearer and the property is not responding to my queries.

It’s unfortunate that your B&B host is not responding to your questions.

It’s also unfortunate that you chose to stay so far away from Siena’s historic center which is very walkable.

If there’s time, and you can cancel this reservation, I‘d suggest finding a place
in Siena’s city center.

Last Fall I stayed at Antica Residenza Cicogna in the heart of Siena, not far from the bus station. The B&B owner is very helpful and friendly, and I loved my comfortable room.

Wishing you a wonderful trip!

That’s not a place to stay without a car. It’s a farmhouse located out of town in the outskirts of Siena. Probably ideal for Day tripping to the towns in the area, including to Siena itself, but it is the type of accommodations catering to visitors with a car. If you don’t want to drive you should seek a place in the city center.
