Transport from Venice to Ravenna Port

We will be on a Celebrity cruise departing from Ravenna. Any recommendations for transport from Venice to the Ravenna port are appreciated. There will be 8 passengers with a lot of luggage.

Being loaded down with excessive amounts of luggage would make the train awkward, given you need to make a connection, plus taxis at either end. A private car service might be difficult to find for that many pax plus large amounts of luggage, but you might be able to hire a large van or small bus. However Celebrity offers transfers from both the Venice Airport and the Tronchetto bus area of Venice Island. That would be your easiest option.

hey hey rockchalk1
this question is asked a lot on this forum, what is the date you need to be in ravenna and are you staying in venice at all.
few ways are by private taxi, bus, train, or ship shuttle.
cruisemapper.com
click ports, your ship, to let you know how many other ships will be in port, which will add up to the other thousands of cruisers wanting the same as you. if you hire a private taxi, make sure it will fit all of you plus all your luggage which may mean you need two vehicles, if by train, make sure you all can carry your own luggage on board train with room to place luggage.
getting to ravenna from venice may take 2-3 hours, and where is the ship berthed at? may have to push and pull luggage to boarding area.
same thing with getting to rome, hire a taxi/transport company that can take all of you, if can't you will need another vehicle. the ride to rome will take 1 1/2 hours to get to rome and your hotel, keep address with you. reserve ahead of time since will be thousands of cruisers trying to squeeze on bus or train. not my cup of tea and the stress. been there done that.
in the search line at top of page "type in transportation to rome fom citivecchia port" same with "venice to ravenna" with many answers there. click the newer ones "6 months" it's your decision what you decide on. enjoy
