Trying to decide whether to take ferry from Capri to Naples, then find transportation to airport OR return to Sorrento on ferry from Capri, take Circumvesuvia to Naples centrale station and then go to airport. Which is easier? How do we get to airport from either of those termini? thanks!

Lori, You really have 2 choices that are about equally easy/slightly complicated.
1: Ferry from Capri to Port of Naples, then take a cab to the airport. This is probably the most expensive but probably the the fastest and easiest route. Cabs charge extra for bags. Our fare going the opposite direction, from the airport to the port, was 16euros for 2 people and 2 suitcases.
2: Ferry to Sorrento. From the marina in Sorrento take a bus or taxi to the train station. Take the bus (not the Circumvesuvian train) from the train station. This takes you directly to the airport terminal. If you take the train you will need to get from the station in Naples to the airport - another leg of transportation.
Whichever option you choose, allow plenty of time. Transportation often gets delayed and usually takes longer than you think.
