Transport from MXP to central Milan

Due to a physical condition, taking the MXP express is not realistic. According to the airport website, there are numerous taxis numbers to call to reserve a cab. My question is can we just go to a taxi stand and get the next cab in line like at other airports?

Bill,

Yes, you can go to the taxi stand outside of arrivals ( ground floor) and take an official taxi to your hotel in the city.

Please refer to the airport’s website for more information regarding the fare, and how to make sure the taxi is official: Airport Malpensa.com/ Airport Taxi

Have a wonderful trip!

Edited to add..,
I’d suggest asking for wheelchair assistance (booked with the airline you’ll be flying)
This is what I did when I traveled with my 87 year old mom a few years ago. The wheelchair attendant whizzed her through passport control all the way to the train platform (we took the Malpensa Express)

The wheelchair attendant will help with your luggage (one rolling bag), and s/he will take you to the taxi stand, or the train platform.

If you’re traveling with someone, perhaps s/he can help you get on/off the train then take a taxi from either Milano Centrale, or Milano Cadorna (whichever is closest to your hotel)

If you decide to take the train, you can request for assistance (to board and disembark from the train) but will need to do this in advance.

Hope this helps!
