translate italian to english

Hello. I have a document printed in Italian, and would like to translate it to English.
Does anyone have a suggestion on how to translate the document into English?

You won't get a perfect translation but typing the text into bing or google translate should provide enough to work with. Now if it's a legal document or something where the translation needs to be really accurate, then you might need to hire a translation service.

But I copy-paste travel stuff into google or bing all the time and it usually does a good enough job for what I need.

Google translate has an option to translate a document. Look at the bottom of the translate boxes for the option.

If it is a paper document then the camera in the Google Translate app can be used to scan the document, the text of which it will then translate. But, you may need to edit and 'tidy up' the text it scans in.

google translate has the option to take a photo of the document and then it will translate it. Just point the camera on your phone at it and tap the camera button on google translate

Google translate is mostly correct, sometimes the English is a bit strange, but every so often it (5-10% of the time) it totally garbles the sentence, and can even invert the meaning.
If this is anything important, like a legal document, have the translation checked by an Italian speaker.

If this is an important document -- such as a birth or marriage certificate needed to get Italian citizenship -- I would contact a local university's Italian studies office and ask for a list of graduate students who do translation. I found a private tutor this way. I bet you could also find translators at a cultural institute (large city) or from the embassy.
