Hi all, We have 8:45 a.m. reservations to view the Last Supper on Oct. 31. We were planning on taking the Milan Metro from the stop nearest our hotel (Loreto) to the Cadorna or Conciliazione stop near S.M. della Grazie. My question is, how much time should we allow for this trip during morning rush hour? I've checked the ATM website and they can tell me the route to take and how often the trains run (every 2-3 mins. apparently) but I'm not finding info. on how long it takes to get from one station to another.
Many thanks!
Sharon , the metro is like any other city subway. The time between stations is very brief - maybe two minutes between stops. It's a very short walk from Cadorna station to the S.M.della Grazie (about 5 or 10 min).
You do need to arrive at least 1/2 hr before your scheduled appointment, show your reservation confirmation and pick-up your ticket. After you have your ticket, walk next door to the church and browse for 15 min. Then go back to the ticket office. Off to the right within the ticket office there is a waiting area for ticket holders. Wait there for your group to gather. You will then be lead into another waiting area. And then finally into the room to see the fresco.
According to the ATM (Milan Transit Authority) trains run every 2 minutes at 7 am on the M1 line (Red). Journey time from Loreto to Cadorna is 10 minutes.

10 min at most.
