We are in the final days of our trip, scheduled to return to Rome on 10/9 via nonstop train. I’ve read that only local transport will be affected. How can I verify our scheduled train?

Fast trains are not affected
Assuming by “ non stop” you mean a direct( no changes) fast train?
Most trains have a few stops

We are traveling from Venice to Rome, departing at 11:26 arriving at 15:25.

That's a very fast train, but it is not non-stop. There will be stops at Venezia Mestre, Padova, Ferrara, Bologna Centrale, Firenze S. M. Novella, Roma Tiburtina and then Roma Termini. Just stay on the train until your stop in Rome
