Transit options from Naples Airport to Nerano on Amalfi Coast

We will be arriving to Naples Airport on Sunday at 1pm in late June. Would like any recommendations on getting to our lodging on the Amalfi Coast, specifically Nerano (west end of the Amalfi Coast). There seems to be many options from taxi, train, ferry, etc. Trying to balance between cost and convenience. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Booking a direct private transfer would run about 150euros, so I’d consider what your journey will be like, how exhausted you expect to be, also that there may be more traffic on a late June day.
I would consider the second easiest option to be a bus direct from airport to Sorrento: https://www.curreriviaggi.it/en/naples-airport-shuttle?_gl=1*m175da*_up*MQ..*_gs*MQ..&gclid=Cj0KCQiA8KTNBhD_ARIsAOvp6DIaHLnOtgPVmuCRltkrCCut-sdJyfoAqZtBBlAUjjB7lasvTQor8eQaAi_rEALw_wcB&gbraid=0AAAAAC0m3xRDEvKpa0xztrOPJ6nsRhtLY
Then you’ll have to book onward from there, another bus or taxi.

The Curreriviaggi Airport bus to and from Sorrento is comfortable and hassle-free. More comfortable and better views than a car, plus it's a really good value.

The only hitch is then you have to get to Nerano, which means a second bus. Total travel time is probably 2.5-3 hours vs a car that's probably 1:45ish.

If you have time, want to save money, and want more of a local experience, take the busses. If you're in a hurry and don't mind dropping coin, take the private taxi. I'd be surprised if it doesn't cost you >€200 -vs- maybe €20/p for the busses.

You could kinda split the difference and take the Curreriviaggi bus to Sorrento, then if the bus is gonna be a while, take a taxi from the Sorrento station to Nerano. The only downside is that it's not as fast as taking the direct route from NAP to Nerano.

Thank you Valadelphia and Chris for the suggestions! Depending on the approximate cost of a taxi from Sorrento to Nerano, taking the bus to Sorrento, then a taxi, sounds like a good compromise on time and money.

I don't know the number, but pleast don't underestimate what you think the cab fare from Sorrento to Nerano "ought" to be. Most trips to another town in this area probably start at 50 Euros, and out on the AC, any real trip starts at 100 Euros. We paid (ten years ago) 15 Euros for a half-mile taxi inside Sorrento! In any case, Nerano is not that close to Sorrento, it's over a steep hill, and it's an "empty return" for the driver.

I haven't been to Nerano, although I have been to Sant' Agata, which is sort of, on the way. Have you made provision for any daytrips you want to take from there. It might work out well, because in our five nights in Sorrento, every time we walked by the bus stop for Positano and Amalfi, there were more people in line than would fit on the next, half-hourly, bus. We hired a car and driver for 8 hours, stopping in Positano, Amafli, and Ravello, where we had free time while the driver played cards with other drivers.
