Transfers from FCO into Rome - Rome Cabs

I'm thinking about booking a transfer into Rome from FCO to our apartment on Via Merulana from Rome Cabs. Has anyone ever used this company & if so, did everything work out as expected? Also does anyone have any idea as to how long this would take vs the Leonardo Express train to Termini then a taxi from Termini? The cost difference is 14 euros more and I'm thinking it might be well worth the money. Please advise. Thank you so much!

I used them on my first trip to Italy in 2013. There were 5 of us and it worked out great. I waited too late to book the regular transport so did the VIP tour for about 1.5 hours and it was terrific. The driver met us at the exit with a sign with my last name on it. The only slight glitch is that we came out thru the exit door you go thru when you do not have to pick up baggage and the driver was waiting by the door people come thru after baggage claim. They are very close together and we could see guys holding signs so when we did not see our driver I sent one of my nephews over to look for him and we found him. The driver was personable, gave a good tour, spoke very good English. I would use them again without hesitation.

We can not say enough good things about Rome Cabs. It only cost about 10 Euro more than a regular taxi. We always use them and have always been very pleased. We usually send an email and they answer us with a firm quote within 24 hours. You do have to pay cash (Euros) and the end of the journey but not in advance. We also use them from the hotel back to the airport. The problem with having your hotel book a cab / car for you is that you may get a regular cab, a car service, or the desk clerk's brother-in-law. That happened to us once years ago, but there were four of us with cell phones and only one brother-in-law so things worked out ok.

Rome Cabs did not have availability for May 12th when we arrive but recommended Rome Chauffeurs. Sent an email & hoping they can accommodate us. I guess I should have planned ahead but was thinking of doing the Leonardo Express (which we may still have to). Thanks!

We were also referred to Rome Chauffeurs by Rome Cabs last time we were in Italy. They were excellent.
