Transfer tour from Florence to Rome

Does anyone have advice on any transfer tours between the two cities? This is my only chance on this visit to Italy to see the rolling hillside, and maybe a stop along the way, but the tours I've found are pretty pricy.

Do you have to go on a tour? You can easily take the train between cities and set up a tour when you get there. You can check with romecabs.com for their tours. They get very good reviews on this and other travel sites.

When in Florence and Rome I plan on spending my time in town as this is my first visit to Italy and it is all too short.I wanted to maximize my travel day, maybe see Sienna or something along the way. I thank you on the Rome Cab advice, as I see they do the tour and have had great things written about them.
