There will be four of us arriving in Milan in late August, and we’ll need to get to our hotel in Bergamo. What are our options? Any drivers you can recommend who will point out the sights along the way?

I assume you arrive at Milan Malpensa airport?
Then maybe your hotel in Bergamo can recommend a driver, but the distance is significant so I expect this to be quite expensive, and there aren't any sights along the way - just busy highways. The alternative is to take the Malpensa Express train into Milan Centrale and change there for a train to Bergamo.
If you are lucky to arrive at Milan Linate airport, then the distance is much less and a driver or an airport taxi make a lot of sense.

I had a transfer from MXP to a Stresa booked with this company, ended up canceling due to COVID and they were very responsive and refunded immediately
We are using them in September for that transfer after all

I believe there is also scheduled bus service from Malpensa to Bergamo. Check Malpensa airport website for info.

The taxi fixed fare from MXP Airport to Milan is € 95. It's 110 € from MXP to Milan's Linate airport. I doubt you could find a driver asking less to take you up to Bergamo.
Since you'd take the ring road, the only sights the driver could point out would be factories, supermarkets and other cars stuck in traffic.
