Trains Pisa-La Spezia-Vernazza and Vernazza-La Spezia-Florence

Hi- We will be flying into Pisa & after seeing the Leaning Tower we want to take a train to La Spezia then to Vernazza. A few days later we need to take a train from Vernazza to La Spezia then to Florence. I see that there are several train stations in both Pisa & La Spezia. Which ones would you suggest we go use? Also, would you recommend buying our train tickets ahead of time? I realize that the trains to/from La Spezia and Vernazza are regional trains & do not require advance ticketing but what about from La Spezia to Rome? If advance tickets are recommended, how/where is the best place to purchase them? Thanks

Oops- gosh I made a few errors in my questions above!! Please advise us on the best train stations to use for Pisa & La Spezia & whether we should buy tickets in advance from La Spezia to Florence. Thanks
