Hello! I will be traveling abroad for the 1st time ever w my family of 5 (youngest is 15). We will be traveling from Manarola to Venice via train from Monterosso. The train leaves Monterosso at 10:58. Will we have difficulty getting to Monterosso station on time? Is the local train schedule between the 5 towns fairly reliable? Will we need lots of time at the station? Our tickets(Monterosso/Venice) are purchased.

Hi Lisa. You can see the schedules for Manarola to Monterosso on trenitalia.com. But the schedules for local trains only show 7 days in advance, so use a date (same day of the week you will be traveling) in the next 7 days. (Do not try to buy this ticket online, buy in Italy). While the major trains in Italy are generally on time, the local trains such as Manarola to Mont are less reliable, so allow a little extra cushion. All stations in CT are tiny, so ten minutes between trains is plenty. But allow a little extra in case your local Man - Mont train is late. On the day I'm looking, there is a 10:33 train arr Mont at 10:44 which would be plenty of time. but to be safe I would take the 10:18 arr Mont 10:30. Enjoy your trip!
