(1) How reliable are the trains in Puglia?
(2) Can I take a train directly from the Brindisi airport to Ostuni and Polignano?

Sometimes, you just have to assume that things will go right and trains will be on time. If they don't, they don't. Both towns have train service but it looks like you have to take a bus or taxi from the airport into the city. See www.trenitalia.com for train schedules published through June 14.
