What is the name of the Padua station and how far is it from the city center? We wanted to see the famous basilica, but it looks like it is far away from the station. What is the best transport to the basilica from the train station. We are going there for a day trip from Venice.

We did the train to Padua to see the basilica also...I know after getting off the train we took a bus. I really don't remember the details except to ask around which bus etc.....people are very helpful. It's a well worth trip...you can do it!!!

its an easy walk to the Basilica, Scrovegni Chapel, etc. I've done it.
