Trains from Venice to Florence, Florence to Sienna and Sienna to Rome

Has anyone successfully done this? Rick makes it look easy! I want to plan departure and arrival times on the days I need to travel and not wait until I am there to find out it won't work. Looks like part of this trip will have to done on a bus. Thanks in advance for help!

venice to florence by train. florence to sienna by bus, and sienna to rome by bus. if you have a couple of days in venice, you should get train ticket upon arrival, don't wait till the last minute. the bus station in florence is a short walk from the train station you can buy ticket on the day you leave. same for sienna, the bus stop is a short walk outside of the city.

Then go to the Italian rail site and look them up, fairly easy. www.trenitalia.it there is an option for English at the top of the page. If you are trying to look generally past June this year, the schedules are probably not d yet. The work around is to use a day of the week that is the same as your desired travel day but look for a date in the next two weeks. You will see times and prices. The schedules don't usually change very much. Many folks opt to take the bus from Florence to Siena (notice there is only one "n" in Siena) beacuse the bus station is close to the center of town while the train station is at the bottom of the hill.

I don't understand this request either. Can you elaborate, HarLyn? You'll get better responses.
