Trains and Tours in Italy

I am canceling my May 3rd trip to Italy due to the Coronavirus. I had booked fast trains from Rome to Naples, Naples to Florence and Florence to Venice. Can anyone tell me will I be able to get my money back or extend these tickets until next year?
I also have several tours that were expensive such as After hours private tour of Vatican, All day boat ride in the Almalfi Coast and a day long trip in the Tuscany region. Will I be able to get these refunded as well or extended.
Any information, phone numbers, emails you can provide to contact these places would be very appreciated.
Thanks in advance,

You need to go on the websites of each of these respective vendors, look at their individual cancellation policies (every business is different), and proceed from there. No one knows which vendors you used - they should all be on your confirmation emails or other docs.

Don't necessarily expect a quick response.

As with the RS folks who have only canceled tours till mid-April so far, everyone is hoping that things will sort themselves out by May. The situation will not sort itself out by then as we all know, but everyone will probably postpone May decisions for at least another month.

They will want your (and everyone else's) future business though, so if you are lucky you will get a credit for a future time.

You need to check with the seller of each of these services first.

For instance, if you bought train tickets on Trenitalia or ItaloTreno, go to their websites, they have reimbursement forms.

If you bought tickets with a broker like "GetYourGuide" or "Viator", contact the vendors first. If you booked directly with the tour pages, go there and use their contact forms.

Bear in mind that even if the initial response for May refunds is not a yes, you should still not give up, if more services are canceled and more places are still under official restrictions later, it would become easier to get refunds them.

Rail Europe's customers can see their frequently-updated summary of various railways' current offers for SPECIAL Coronavirus-related ticket refund rules.

  • This list reflects special accommodations over and above whatever refund rules were originally attached to your tickets.
  • For regular rules that may still be in effect, see your actual tickets or order confirmation email.
  • So far, special accommodations have mostly been tied to travel to/from/within Italy in early March, but that can change in the future, along with the reasons behind it.
  • Do be aware of deadlines to make a claim, especially if your travel was scheduled in March.
  • Do be patient as it takes some time for policies to be published, revised, or dates extended, where necessary, especially if your travel was planned outside of Italy or later than March.

Refunds must usually be processed through the original vendor. Based on the current list, Italo-brand trains are one exception, since you apply through them even if you purchased through a secondary agent.
