I have viewed the website scioperi.mit.gov.it as advised by my fellow travelers.
My question is I cannot really tell if the strikes are affecting my routes. We will be traveling in October from Rome to Orvieto to Monterosso and Pisa and Siena back to Rome.
Has anyone worked with this site? Or is there a better one to check the announced train strikes?

I have found this one to be reliable, although not inclusive of everything perhaps. Local strikes (i.e., buses in a city) are not always covered promptly. Your hotel can help you with local strikes.
