Trains and April holiday

Hello! Asking about transportation for next April. I know, its early but there is a national holiday involved. I have never been to Italy and planning this myself. I have to book the two HS trains ahead but can I get refunds if plans change? Refunds only made to an EU bank account? How crazy will that Sunday and Monday really be?
14th Milan airport mxp to Bellano. RE51 and RE 8
16th Bellano to Monterosso al mare. RE8 and IC
19th Monterosso al mare to Florence IC and REG Firenze S Maria Novella and then walk
*21st Florence to Sorrento. HS on Italo or Trenitalia ? Then local Circumvesuviana
*
25 Holiday. Sorrento to Rome. Take Campania Express or Circumvesuviana to Napoli Piazza Garibaldi THEN HS train to Romecity center on Trenitalia or Italo Treno? OR would a direct bus be better on this holiday? Flix or Marozzi Viaggi e Turismo.
28. Rome to airport on Leonardo express train.
Thank you !

Just to remember everybody that Campania Express will be suspended on Oct. 1st, 2026; no news if and when it will be restarted. Circumvesuviana ordinary trains go on.
There are sometimes combinations Sorrento-Naples on shuttle bus plus Naples to different destinations on Italo, on a single ticket (the shuttle bus is run by Italo), I guess it is way too early to know if they will be available in April.
April 25th has a festive schedule on trains, if you are able to reserve places trains are always better than buses.

The question: Italo or Trenitalia makes little sense. You look for timetables and prices (again, way too early) and you decide.

You have two major holidays.
The April 25 and May 1 holidays bring massive crowds to these areas. It won't just be for that holiday itself, but the week /weekends surrounding. Expect should-shoulder crowds in the AC towns, standing on regional trains, and gridlock traffic congestion in the AC. Sorry it is not a pretty pix, but by planning for the realities on the ground, you can have a better experience.
The Circumvesuviana's schedule is kind of a suggestion, it's a gritty train, like a NYC subway experience. Not sure the Campania Express is running, I saw an article to the contrary.
If you can, private transportation from Naples to Sorrento, and Sorrento to Rome, is a nice gift to yourself . We used Aldo Limos.
Enjoy planning and have a great trip!
