We are traveling to Italy in September. I am trying to book reservation on Italotren. Schedule not out yet for mid Sept. It is out on other railways. Anyone know why it wouldnt be out yet? I want to use them because they offer a discount for people over 60. Thank you

I agree with Christine - download the apps. They will come in handy while you are there. You need to register for the 60+ discount on Trenitalia. Fill out a form, send it in. In the past it was only for residents or those with an Italian address. Now it is open to all.

Italy is apparently not selling national trains for after Sept 10 at this time. That includes Italotreno. Discussed in this recent thread. Note comment from Dario. Patience is in order.
