Training fr Rome to Malpensa airport

After we check out of the Hotel Aberdeen on May15, we'd like to train it to Malpensa. Any suggestions? Eurostar is fast but awfully expensive!

Well, you get what you pay for. 91 Euros to get you there in 3 hours 2nd class is worth every penny. Flying would be more expensive and take you longer. If you wait to get the tickets a few days before you need them, you might be able to get a "MINI" discount of up to 60%. Those tickets are subject to availability and are discounted basically at the inscrutable whim of Trenitalia. You will need to transfer to the Malpensa express at the Centrale Train station in Milan. The train is twice an hour and takes about an hour so add at least another hour and a half to your train time to Milan.

Easy Jet should be around a $30 plane ticket with advanced purchase and carry-on luggage

If you decide to fly, factor in the time to get to Fiumicino plus the amount of time you need to be there before the flight plus the length of the flight itself. That said, it would indeed plunk you right into Malpensa. If, however, you have any desire to see Milan (the Duomo is amazing - go up on the roof), the train is the way to go.
