Train travel the day after a strike

Hi All! We are traveling by train (Trenitalia) from Salerno to Civitavecchia at 7:30am on the morning of June 21 - the day after the scheduled rail strike.

Wondering if anyone knows whether we should expect travel disruption to linger into the next day? Or if things generally resume normal schedules quickly after such a strike?

The disruption that MIGHT happen would be due to the train not being in the right spot (like airplanes) but they know these strikes and know how to resume services after they are over. And there are also a lot of trains to Rome and Civitavecchia, so if one is cancelled, there should be others soon! Good thing you’re starting early :)

And enjoy Salerno! :)

As Katherine said, they're usually good to go the next day. I do recommend buying tickets directly through Trenitalia in case you need to cancel / refund / get help at the station. I used to book through Trainline but it was a nightmare to get refunded whenever trains were cancelled / delayed.
